東アジア・東南アジアで存在感を増している CUP（China UnionPay）

中国ユニオンペイ　（中国银联・中國銀聯）　は、東アジア、東南アジアで存在感を増してきています。デビットカードとして、使用できるお店が多くスケールが違います。中国、香港、マカオでは、有名ですが、日本でも使えるところ増えてきていますし、このごろ東南アジアでも使えるお店（スーパーなどをふくめて）増えてきています。

さて、この中国銀聯。中国の銀行のATMカード、香港の銀行'(HSBCなど）のATMカードに、中国銀聯のデビット機能がついていることが多いようです。　一方、今のところ、日本で作ろうとすると、クレジットカードか、トラベレックスのやっているキャッシュパスポートというプリペイド式システム？になってしまうようです。

以前は、CUPのロゴは、JCBのロゴの模倣品かとおもっていました。が、今やCUPの側がメジャーになりJCBの方が模倣品に見えてしまうかも。。。

以前よりも引き出し上限額も増えてきているようです。　が、各国により事情も異なるようなので、各国ごとの　Charge and Limit on Withdrawal　　で、チェックしておくとよいでしょう。

Daily cash withdrawal from a debit card should not surpass the dollar equivalent of 10 thousand RMB.Daily cash withdrawal from a credit card should not surpass the dollar equivalent of 5 thousand RMB.

Issuing banks charge a certain amount of commissions for overseas cash withdrawal. Limits on daily withdrawal times and amount as well as commission charges can be obtained from card issuing banks.

When drawing cash through CUP network, the currency exchange charge of 1%-2% will be exempted. CUP will change the amount in local currency into RMB amount to deduct from the holder’s RMB account.
